Lord of the Rings books confusion?
Lord of the rings has three books.Fellowship of the ring, the two towers and return of the king.On the net they are available seperately at 300 odd rupees each but on the same site another book is available at 411 entitled only LORD OF THE RINGS.Should i buy them seperately? Are the seperate books longer? Is the one with only LOTR abridged so that all three fit in one book?Is the content in both books same?

The Lord of the Rings was originally one volume, but the author’s publisher made him split it into three different volumes (Fellowship, Towers, and Return). You can buy them separately, or as one volume. I would do it as one volume. It’s the same text, unabridged, and the only difference is that you might build muscle while reading it… it’s heavy! Lol.

The number of pages might be different because the font type they may have used for the books may be different… but that will be the only difference.

I’m not sure, you would have to look at the page numbers. I don’t think they would need to shorten it to get into one book because books can get pretty big, I think what you need to do is check the page count and add up all the pages of the three books and see if it matches the one because I could be wrong about them being the same legnth because I have not seen the books. I think that they should both be the same but just check to make sure
